BSA Speaks on WNYC'S "ALL OF IT" Radio Program - Highlights Art in New York Public Space

BSA Speaks About Street Art on "All of It" Program With Alison Stewart

WNYC, New York's flagship public radio station, reaching over one million listeners each week

A dive into 10 works of art in public space—some legal, some not—
plus the artists, some controversies, and the ever-changing streets of NYC.

“All of It with Alison Stewart" is a live daily conversation about culture and the creative scene in and around New York City and beyond. Ms. Stewart’s weekly guests include individuals from the fields of literature, music, visual arts, and film—featuring authors, musicians, directors, producers, and artists.

"It's sort of interesting because at first you don't notice that and you wonder, when you look up there, you're like, ‘Wait, wait- That's a ... that's a piece of art!’ as you're walking down 14th Street.” ~ Alison Stewart - "All Of It" on WNYC.org

Jaime Rojo is the co-founder and editor of photography at Brooklyn Street Art (BSA), capturing and documenting the dynamic evolution of street art, graffiti, and public art through the camera lens. His work has captured the visual language of urban creativity on five continents; highlighting artists, visual expression, and the evolution of street art movements. Rojo has joined Harrington as a speaker at numerous institutions and street art festivals around the world.

"I think placement is key. If it's placed in context within the community, within the neighborhood, within the culture, and also how it's placed specifically on a wall.” ~Jaime Rojo - Brooklyn Street Art

Steven P. Harrington is the co-founder and editor-in-chief of Brooklyn Street Art (BSA), a leading platform documenting and analyzing the evolution of street art, graffiti, and public art worldwide. A speaker at Sotheby's, Christie's, LACMA, Brooklyn Museum, Museum of Graffiti, and Urban Nation Museum, among others, his work explores the intersection of urban creativity, social movements, and contemporary art, featuring artists, curators, and cultural thinkers from cities across the globe.

"So what's interesting about this is that it's in a public space, but he didn't do it with permission, which we found out through some sleuthing because we thought it had been commissioned and it just appeared overnight. He tends to focus on animals that are in the margins of society.” ~ Steve Harrington - Brooklyn Street Art
